Topz Club is an after-school club for Years 3 to 6
When do we meet?
The meetings are every Wednesday in term time from 6.15pm to 7.30pm in the Village Hall.
What do we do?
We run a tuck shop at the start of the meeting, and then have a varied programme, with games, stories, often from the Bible, more games, drinks, and more games. We have also interviewed interesting people – a missionary from the Congo and Rev Jill Cheverton, the minister of the Church in Binley Woods. We hope that the children enjoy coming – I guess they must as we usually have about 12 children each week, returning again and again.
Our wider interests
As a group, Topz is supporting Operation Mobilisation Ships as they seek to raise money for a new ship to travel the world passing on the Good News about Jesus. We also collect used postage stamps for the Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Child Protection
All leaders have a certificate from the Criminal Records Bureau and undergo regular training on child protection issues. If your child comes to Topz then we will do our best to care for him or her as though they were our own. We are affiliated to Urban Saints (formerly Crusaders).
