This song is based on Isaiah 40:28, 31
Jill was inspired to write this song when she was looking out of her upstairs room window in her house in inner-city Leeds, and saw the seagulls rising up on their wings, thoroughly enjoying themselves. But the Bible does not mention seagulls, so the song had eagles...
You will rise up on wings
You will rise up on wings like eagles.
You will rise up on wings like eagles.
You will walk and not be faint,
You will run and not grow weary.
Those who hope in the Lord renew their strength.
Don’t you know the Lord is God?
He who has you in his hand?
Those who put their hope in him will be made new.
