I wrote this song for the 21st birthday of the Church in Binley Woods, and it is appropriate for any church giving thanks for itself and remembering its journey.
It’s so good to be sons and daughters
of the Lord of the universe;
Praise you, God our Father,
our Maker and our God.
It’s so good to be brothers and sisters
of the King of Love, the Prince of Peace;
Praise you, our Lord Jesus,
our Saviour and our King.
- Thank you for calling us
to be your church in this place,
All kinds of people
joined together in your love.
So we bring you, Lord, our thanks and our praise,
And we place ourselves together in your hands.
It’s so good… - Thank you for our friends
now in your church across the world;
Thank you for our friends
who now are praising you in heaven.
